Possible causes for the error message “Communications to Controller Lost.”

 
  • Is the correct COMM port selected in the software setup?
  • Is the correct controller type (Mark III or Mark IV) selected in the software setup?
  • Is the cable plugged into the proper COMM port? Be sure it is not plugged into the Parallel port.
  • Are you using the Rhino communications cable. A standard cable will not work.
  • Are there any other programs addressing the COMM port? Mouse driver, modem, etc.
  • Is the Mode switch on the Mark III Controller in the UP position?
  • If Windows 2000 or Windows XP is the computer operating system, RoboTalk For Windows Version 1.1 must be used.
